Tejay Antone To Make First Major League Start Wednesday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-handed pitcher Tejay Antone has been tabbed to start Wednesday’s contest against Cleveland with righty Luis Castillo bumped back until Thursday. Antone made his big league debut out of relief last Tuesday and struck out five batters over 4 ⅓ innings, allowing just one hit and one run. With Wade Miley (groin) on the injured list, and the Reds having played a doubleheader Sunday, Antone will get a chance to start against one of the Majors’ slowest starting offenses in 2020. Through its first 12 games, Cleveland has scored just 32 runs, making Antone a low-priced DFS commodity for those owners who are looking to pony up in other spots.
