Lance Lynn's Scoreless Streak Comes To An End
4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Lance Lynn finally gave up a run on Tuesday night versus the Oakland Athletics in a 5-1 loss. His streak of 18 and 1/3 innings pitched was the longest scoreless streak to begin a season for Texas since 1980. The streak came to an end thanks to a Matt Chapman home run that tied the game up in the bottom of the seventh. Before that, Lynn was cruising along as he did in his first two starts. His final line was six and 2/3 innings pitched with three hits, three walks, one earned run, and seven strikeouts. The right-hander has had an excellent encore to his 2019 season and rewarded fantasy managers that bought in with three quality starts to begin 2020. Lynn's next start has him lined up against the Los Angeles Angels to close out the week on Sunday.
