4 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios had his best outing of 2020 in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Pirates. Berrios fanned six batters in six strong innings, allowing four hits, three walks and one run. He was a bit wild at first, loading the bases in the top of the second inning, but he worked his way out of the jam by striking out the side. He had much better command of his pitches in this start and had the curveball baffling hitters. Through three starts, the 26-year-old is throwing harder than ever, seeing an increase in velocity to his fastball, curveball and change. Berrios seems to have righted the ship with this start and will get another excellent matchup in his next outing against the Royals.--Tim Capurso
