4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Josh Lindblom left his first start of 2020 due to back spasms, but after throwing a bullpen session Tuesday, Lindblom was confident that there would be no issues for his Thursday start against the White Sox. Set to make multiple starts in a season for the first time since 2013, Lindblom has the opportunity to hold down a rotation spot with Milwaukee should he continue to display the strikeout potential that he had in his first start, which delivered five punchouts in 3 ⅔ innings. If early returns are any indication, Lindblom has been successful at avoiding hard contact, having allowed an average exit velocity of 81.9 MPH against Pittsburgh; he’ll have a much stouter matchup against the slugging White Sox, who enter Wednesday leading the Majors with a .284 team batting average.--Jesse Borek
