4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (finger) threw a 32-pitch simulated game on Wednesday. Nationals manager Davy Martinez has reportedly expected Strasburg to throw closer to 50 pitches on Wednesday, and it’s not clear why the sim game was ultimately cut short. The team still doesn’t have a clear timeline for Strasburg’s return yet, and expect to have a clearer picture of his recovery based on how the pitcher feels tomorrow. Strasburg is an upper-tier fantasy pitcher when healthy with a 3.32 ERA and 30% strikeout rate last season, but the 32-year-old’s finger has kept him from pitching so far this season.--Sam Chinitz
