4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher J.A. Happ lasted only three innings against the Phillies on Wednesday, walking six batters and allowing four runs. Happ isn’t a stranger to the upper half of the strike zone, but the 37-year-old missed high frequently on Wednesday, contributing to his high walk rate. Encouragingly, Happ continued his elevated slider usage this season with a 27% usage rate on Wednesday, though it rarely hit the strike zone. Fantasy players shouldn’t expect much out of Happ over the rest of the season, as he should post an ERA above 4.00 with a lackluster strikeout rate.--Sam Chinitz
