4 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-handed pitcher Yonny Chirinos has landed on the 10-day injured list due to inflammation of his right triceps. The move comes as a swift roadblock after Chirinos had gotten off to a promising start in 2020, even as he failed to complete five innings in either of his two appearances. While Chirinos allowed just one run in 8 ⅔ frames, his xERA is a glaring 5.58, in addition to a 4.60 FIP. Right-hander Trevor Richards was recalled to take Chirinos’ roster spot, and could be a solid streamer option should he nab his spot in the rotation, even as Richards has scuffled in relief (six ER in 5 ⅓ IP) to begin the year.--Jesse Borek
