4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte may be the odd man out of the team’s lineup against right-handed pitching moving forward, per manager Brian Snitker. With Nick Markakis back in the mix, Inciarte found himself on the bench Thursday, a decision that Snitker reiterated by saying he would stick with that division of labor “for a while.” A three-time Gold Glover, Inciarte’s primary value stems from his glove, as his bat has been quiet to open 2020, having hit .188 with a .566 OPS through his first 13 games. Snitker’s announcement essentially zaps all value that Inciarte had, as he appears destined to become a late-game pinch-runner and defensive replacement.--Jesse Borek
