Byron Buxton Crushes Home Run
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton crushed his first home run of the season off of Pirates reliever Cody Ponce in the fourth inning of Thursday's loss to the Pirates. Buxton is still getting his timing back at the plate after his foot injury, though he looked just fine with one of his swings in this game. The 26-year-old absolutely crushed a ball 431 feet at an exit velocity of 108.4 MPH. It's the kind of tantalizing power that he can possess at times, which should make fantasy owners excited when he finds his rhythm. He could be close to finding it, with an extra-base hit in two straight games. He'll get some favorable matchups against the Kansas City Royals coming up.
