4 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez and right-handed pitcher Jose Urquidy are both continuing to make their way back while working at the team’s alternate training facility. Alvarez advanced to taking batting practice Thursday, while Urquidy is pitching off of a mound. Still, manager Dusty Baker indicated that neither was particularly close to joining the Astros. Alvarez, the reigning American League Rookie of the Year, will be a must-own fantasy commodity upon his activation due to his prodigious power, while owners will want to wait to see where Urquidy slots in after a solid nine-appearance debut last season.--Jesse Borek
