David Peralta Bumped Up In Order, Batting Cleanup Saturday
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta has been moved back up in the batting order to the No. 4 slot for Saturday’s contest against San Diego and right-hander Chris Paddack. Peralta has not hit above the fifth spot in the order since July 26, having been dropped in favor of other bats. The cleanup spot is a familiar position for Peralta, who started 40 games there last season, albeit producing just a .709 OPS and 78 tOPS+. Factor in pitcher-friendly Petco Park and the explosive stuff of Paddack, and Peralta is a stretch of a DFS play Saturday. But moving forward, moving up in the order is cause for optimism in season-long formats for a staple of the Arizona order.
