Asher Wojciechowski To Start Sunday On Three Days’ Rest
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles right-handed pitcher Asher Wojciechowski will be brought back to start Sunday against the Nationals on just three days’ rest. In three prior starts in his career with such little rest, Wojciechowski has allowed 15 runs (14 earned) and six home runs in just 13 innings of work. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde noted that left-handed prospect Keegan Akin would be available to pitch out of relief behind Wojciechowski. Having pitched the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against Miami, Wojciechowski threw just 67 pitches, which likely plays a role in coming back so soon. He holds little season-long value at this stage and would be a severely contrarian DFS play in what should be a packed Sunday main slate.
