Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Dropped To Sixth In Saturday’s Lineup
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. continues his fall down the lineup card Saturday against Boston as he will hit sixth against right-hander Zack Godley. After opening the year in the No. 3 spot, Guerrero has slowly moved down the order as he has hit just .214 with a .664 OPS through his first 11 games. Saturday marks just the second game in Guerrero’s career where he has started a contest batting below the fifth slot in the lineup. There is some reason for optimism surrounding the uber-prospect as he has compiled an average exit velocity of 92.5 MPH and 48.5% Hard Hit rate to open 2020. There’s no reason to hit the panic button in season-long formats, but DFS owners may choose to look elsewhere as he slips in the order.
