4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eduardo Escobar was an extra-base-hitting savant last season, amassing 74 such hits in 158 games. But through his first 14 games of 2020, he has just two extra-base hits, with his OPS+ sitting at a paltry 39. Of the 39 batted balls that he has put into play this season, Escobar has just one barrel, with his wOBA sitting at .212, which would be far and away the lowest mark of his career. Owners can afford to stick behind Escobar for the time being, but after having hit only .236 during the second half last season, the writing may be on the wall as it pertains to Escobar not being the top notch fantasy option that many envisioned.--Jesse Borek
