4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer is not in Sunday's lineup against the Diamondbacks. Hosmer returned on Saturday after missing several games with an illness and went 0-for-4. The team said he is doing well and taking groundballs at first base, so it sounds like they are just easing him back into his workload. The 30-year-old was off to a strong start before hitting the injured list, drilling three extra-base hits in four games. Ty France will start in place of Hosmer at first.--Tim Capurso
