Charlie Morton Not Concerned About Early Exit Sunday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-handed pitcher Charlie Morton was removed from Sunday’s game against the Yankees after throwing only two innings due to tightness. But after the contest, Morton stated that he was “not worried about it” and was confident that he wouldn’t miss much time. Whether that means he will make his scheduled start next week against the Blue Jays remains to be seen. Morton now possesses a 5.40 ERA through his first four appearances, an underwhelming start to the year after a third place finish in American League Cy Young voting in 2019. Owners will want to check back to get an update on his status for next week.
