4 years agoSan Diego Padres right-handed pitcher Luis Perdomo has been announced as the starter for Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers. Although having been a starter in the past, just one of Perdomo’s 50 appearances over the past two years have been as the starter, so it’s well within the realm of possibility that he is merely the opener. Walks have proven to be Perdomo’s bugaboo at the big league level, averaging 4.4 BB/9 in 2018, the last time that he was a full-time starter. Of the 67 pitches that he has thrown out of relief this year, not one has been barrelled up, but despite the early success, his likely pitch limit and match-up with the Dodgers makes him a non-entity for the fantasy community.--Jesse Borek
