Brandon Woodruff Only Lasts Four Innings Sunday
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Sunday. Woodruff needed 30 pitches to get through the first inning and 91 pitches to get through four, so it was not the most efficient of efforts. He has a sparkling 26:5 K:BB in 20 1/3 innings this season, but only has one win to his credit. Up next is a road matchup against the Cubs, who stuck Woodruff with the loss on Opening Day. He's pitching well and the wins should start coming now that the Brewers offense is starting to come alive.
