4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman had a huge night Monday with two home runs and a triple as part of a 3-for-5 night. Chapman scored three runs and collected six RBI as Angels pitching had no answer for the hard-hitting third baseman. Chapman has been tearing the cover off the ball in the young season with a 46.5 percent hard-hit rate and seven barrels in 43 batted balls this season. While that sample size is small, Chapman has been in the top-five percent in average exit velocity each of the last two years, so he can be expected to maintain this pace.
