Giancarlo Stanton Has Grade 1 Hamstring Strain
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) was diagnosed with a grade 1 hamstring strain on Tuesday. Players typically recover from such strains within a month, putting Stanton’s expected return date in early September given that he was placed on the 10-day IL on August 8. Mike Ford figures to be the primary beneficiary of Stanton’s absence, though Clint Frazier, Brett Gardner, and Miguel Andujar are likely to see increased playing time as well.
