4 years agoNew York Mets infielder Jed Lowrie has had his career hit a full stop due to left knee discomfort that has limited him to eight plate appearances since signing with the Mets ahead of 2019. The next step in his rehab is for him to receive another round of injections in his knee in an attempt to get him working toward a return, although any kind of timetable on when he could return to the Majors is guesswork at this stage. When healthy, the Mets have a crowded infield; Lowrie, who signed a two-year, $20 million deal, would figure to fill in as a reserve at this stage, even should things break in his favor. He is a non-entity from a fantasy perspective, despite having been an All-Star as recently as 2018 with Oakland.--Jesse Borek
