Masahiro Tanaka Lasts Only Four Innings On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka allowed two runs over just four innings against the Braves on Wednesday. Tanaka had an uneven performance, generating a strong 15% swinging-strike rate but allowing seven baserunners and six hard-hit balls. Tanaka’s MLB career has been volatile so far, but he’s mostly looked good this year and is likely to see his ERA stay below 4.00 for the season. Fantasy players shouldn’t be concerned about Tanaka’s lack of length in Wednesday’s game, and expect manager Aaron Boone to generally let the 31-year-old pitch later into games.
