X-Ray On Jeff McNeil's Knee Is Negative
4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil had to be carted off the field on Thursday after he collided with the outfield wall. The good news is that an X-ray taken on McNeil's knee during the game was negative. The Mets will now hold their breath and await results of an MRI McNeil is to have on Friday. The hope, of course, is that McNeil only bruised his knee. McNeil made a spectacular run-saving catch to end the top of the first inning in the Mets' matinee with the Nationals. McNeil made the catch on a full run with his arm extended and hit the wall and collapsed to the ground. He attempted to walk off the field under his power, but could not. The Mets and fantasy owners are hoping to dodge a bullet here.
