Logan Morrison Elects Free Agency After Being DFA’d
4 years agoThe Logan Morrison Era in Milwaukee comes to an end after just 28 plate appearances. When the Brewers designated Morrison for assignment, he was not claimed off waivers, and he chose not to accept an outright assignment. His departure paves the way for Justin Smoak and Ryan Braun to see the vast majority of playing time at first base moving forward. With more strikeouts (eight) than hits (three) in his first nine games, it’s unclear if the 32-year-old Morrison will have other prospects in 2020. He can be definitively left on the waiver wire until he finds a club that would be willing to give him consistent at-bats.
