Jack Doyle (TE, IND) - 2020 Fantasy Football Draft Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~135 Overall

CURRENT ADP: ~150

ANALYSIS: Jack Doyle's ADP hasn't stopped rising in the past few weeks and months, and the Colt is currently getting drafted as the TE17 in re-draft leagues with an overall ADP of around 150. Doyle projects to finish the 2020 season precisely as a top-150 player in fantasy football PPR leagues with 127 fantasy points. Doyle's biggest selling point is he might end up with the third-most receptions among all Indianapolis' players behind only WRs  T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell. Do you know what happened last season, too? Hilton missed six games entirely and played a few others banged up, opening the door for other players to get more opportunities. Are we sure that is not going to happen again this season?

Doyle finished 2019 with 43 receptions for 448 receiving yards while being targeted all of 72 times. He also had to face competition in TE Eric Ebron, who is now out of Indianapolis. Good news for the veteran, who won't have anyone near Ebron's talent level getting reps from him this year. Barring the 2018 season, Doyle has never missed more than one game and his three seasons prior to 2019 he averaged 9+ PPG, including back-to-back years at 10+ PPG in 2017 and 2018. Nothing is telling me that can happen again in 2020, even more with Philip Rivers manning the pocket for the Colts this seasn.

While I wouldn't draft Doyle inside the first ten rounds, it makes sense to target him in the 11th-to-15th-round clip. If Doyle's ADP keeps rising he might start to lose a little bit of his potential value and return on investment, but where things stand now Doyle is a very good player to slot at the TE position while being affordable. With everybody healthy to start the year, it could be reasonable to think his fantasy scores might end on the lower side of things, but once injuries start to pop up (looking at you, Hilton), Doyle might boost his PPR tallies weekly.
