4 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals' top prospect, outfielder Dylan Carlson, has been officially called up and is starting in left field and batting sixth in Saturday's game against the White Sox. The expectation is that Carlson, the 18th ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline, will play almost every day now that he has been promoted to the majors. Across six levels and four seasons in the minors, Carlson posted a .260/.250/.431 line with 47 home runs and 194 RBI in 1,712 plate appearances. Last season, across Double-A and Triple-A, Carlson's stock drastically rose in which he hit 26 HR, drove in 68 runs, stole 20 bases, and hit .292/.372/.542 in 562 plate appearances. If somehow available in redraft formats, owners should be quick to add Carlson to their rosters. He is a legitimate 20-20 threat who should also post solid batting average and on-base percentage numbers.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
