4 years agoOutfielder Nick Williams has been selected off the waiver wire by the Cincinnati Reds after having been designated for assignment by the Phillies. A former top prospect coming up through the Philadelphia ranks, Williams compiled a 111 and 99 OPS+ in 2017 and ‘18, respectively. But since then, he has scuffled at the dish, leading the Phillies to move on. He now joins a Reds club that is packed with talent in the outfield, which makes it highly unlikely that he would see enough playing time, at least initially, to justify becoming a fantasy commodity.--Jesse Borek
