4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder/designated hitter Ryan Braun is holding down the leadoff spot for Sunday’s contest against the Cubs and left-hander Jon Lester. Manager Craig Counsell shook up his lineup Saturday by tabbing catcher Omar Narvaez to bat leadoff, but the move to shift Braun in marks the first time since 2015 that he has hit from the No. 1 spot. While the lineup positioning may be advantageous for Braun, who is off to a 5-for-24 start at the plate this year, the wind blowing in at Wrigley Field may give owners pause. The Brewers don’t have a true leadoff hitter this season, which leaves it as a possibility that Braun could hold down the role if he succeeds.--Jesse Borek
