4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu (thumb) and outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) are both expected to miss the next two to three weeks due to their respective ailments. LeMahieu, the American League’s batting average leader (.411), is dealing with a similar injury to the one that he experienced during his time in Colorado. Stanton has been receiving treatment on his hamstring and mentioned Monday that he should be cleared to return to baseball activities soon. The absence of both men in the New York lineup has paved the way for Tyler Wade and Clint Frazier to see time in their stead, respectively.--Jesse Borek
