4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Steven Souza Jr. has been scratched from Monday’s opening contest of a doubleheader against St. Louis due to a tight right hamstring. His absence forces Ian Happ to shift over to right field, while Albert Almora Jr. will hold down center field. With Souza being out of the mix for Game 1, he presumably is also not available for Game 2 later Monday. His absence leaves Chicago’s outfield thin as Jason Hayward (back) is also not in the lineup. Souza is primarily a DFS play at this stage as he has had to compete for playing time in the Cubs’ outfield.--Jesse Borek
