4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson (shoulder) will start against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. Peterson had complained of mild shoulder soreness after his last outing Thursday against Washington in which he only went five innings and allowed one unearned run. On the season, the rookie is 3-1 with a 2.91 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings pitched. Peterson makes for a great streaming option in seasonal formats on Tuesday facing the Marlins, though he may be subjected to a strict pitch count due to the soreness issues he experienced his last time out. DFS players can consider Peterson a cheap starting pitching option, but should be aware that he may be subject to a quick hook which limits his counting stat upside and the possibility he can factor into the decision for a win.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
