4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill has been scratched from Tuesday’s starting nine against the Cubs and right-hander Yu Darvish, with Harrison Bader entering the lineup in his place. The reason for the switch was not immediately disclosed. O’Neill has been off to an impressive start in the homer column to open 2020, having gone deep three times in his first eight games. With rookie Dylan Carlson now in the mix, St. Louis has ample outfield options, which limits the upside of many of their existing outfielders, including O’Neill. His next chance to get back in the lineup comes Wednesday during a doubleheader against Chicago.--Jesse Borek
