4 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in the Mets' 8-3 win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. Perhaps feeling the pressure of competition with Andres Gimenez, Robinson Cano and Luis Guillorme all swinging hot bats, Rosario is now 4-for-9 with a homer, double and four RBI in his last two games. On the season, Rosario is hitting an underwhelming .224 with two homers and eight RBI in 76 at-bats. Rosario has yet to draw a walk or steal a base in 2020. As a result of the defensively superior Gimenez and Guillorme both performing at a high level, combined with Robinson Cano's blistering bat, Rosario's playing time has been adversely impacted. At this point, Rosario owners should remain patient to see if he can build on Tuesday's performance and if the Mets will give him consistent playing time at shortstop, before inserting him into weekly lineups. The muddled infield situation in Flushing, combined with Rosario's slow start currently makes him a questionable play in leagues that have weekly lineup locks.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
