Steven Souza Jr. Diagnosed With Grade 1 Hamstring
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Steven Souza Jr. (hamstring) had a MRI on Wednesday that diagnosed him with a Grade 1 hamstring strain. The outfielder was scratched from Monday’s lineup and placed on the injured list Tuesday. Souza has dealt with injuries throughout his career and has been operating as the Cubs fourth outfielder. He has struggled in that role thus far and is hitting .190 with a home run, five RBI and a stolen base. Souza isn’t expected to return to baseball activities for seven to 10 days and should be left on the waiver wire when he is healthy.
