4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce and second baseman Jean Segura were both absent from Wednesday’s contest against the Red Sox, but manager Joe Girardi said after the outing that both were likely to be back in the mix Thursday during a doubleheader against the Blue Jays. Bruce socked his fourth homer of 2020 on Tuesday, but like Segura, has been dealing with a leg injury. Bruce is the most fantasy-relevant option of the two at this stage as Segura has hit just .222 through his first 16 contests. The Blue Jays are expected to start right-handers Chase Anderson and Trent Thornton on Thursday, which could make either Bruce or Segura appealing DFS or streamer options.--Jesse Borek
