4 years agoHouston Astros utility player Taylor Jones is starting at DH in place of the injured Yordan Alvarez on Wednesday. Alvarez is out for the season with knee issues, putting the everyday DH job for the Astros up for grabs. Jones made his MLB debut on July 26 this season, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout, but he’s enjoyed a pair of strong minor league seasons over the past two years with a combined .872 OPS. Granted, much of that production came in the hitter-friendly PCL, but the potential for Jones to claim everyday playing time and his recent strong performance should have him on the radar of fantasy players.--Sam Chinitz
