Luis Arraez Has Sore Left Knee
4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman, third baseman, and outfielder Luis Arraez (knee) is out of Wednesday’s lineup as he deals with a sore left knee, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. Arraez’s early exit from Tuesday’s game was likely related to his knee issue, but the 23-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now and is likely to avoid a stint on the IL. Arraez posted an underwhelming .277/.351/.308 slash line over his first 19 games this season, but he struck out at a characteristically impressive 13.5% rate with a 3.7% swinging-strike rate and a strong .375 xwOBA (.296 wOBA). Fantasy players should expect Arraez to bounce back fairly quickly when he returns to the Minnesota lineup as a result, making him a potential buy-low opportunity as long as he can put his knee injury behind him.
