Brandon Workman Earns Fourth Save Against Phillies
4 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Brandon Workman pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 6-3 victory against the Phillies to earn his fourth save of the season. The 32-year-old has gone four-for-four in save opportunities on the season but has only pitched 6 2/3 innings as a result of the Red Sox 7-18 record on the season. Workman has posted a 4.05 ERA and eight strikeouts to go along with his four saves, but the losing season could potentially make the veteran right-hander available with the 2020 trade deadline less than two weeks away. Workman should be owned across standard fantasy formats at the moment, although his value could change over the coming weeks depending on the outcome of the August 31st trade deadline moves made by the under performing Boston Red Sox.
