Willie Calhoun Likely Done For Season With Hamstring Injury
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun is not only out of the lineup Thursday against San Diego and right-hander Dinelson Lamet, he is likely done for the remainder of 2020. Rangers manager Chris Woodward was not “optimistic” that he would “play again this season,” which opens up myriad lineup possibilities for Texas. Calhoun, who is hampered by a hamstring ailment, has hit just .172/.206/.224 this season in 18 contests. Combining the injury with his prognosis for the rest of this year, he can be safely dropped in all season-long formats.
