4 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run scored and one walk in Thursday's 7-1 victory against the Orioles. Moreland's three-run home run in the ninth inning extended the Red Sox lead to six runs and gave the team a comfortable lead to earn their second consecutive victory. Through 17 games, Moreland has totaled seven home runs, 10 runs scored, 17 RBI, a .360 batting average and 1.288 OPS to lead the team with the offensive production through the first half of the season. Moreland will continue to be in the lineup against opposing right-handed pitchers, making the veteran left-handed hitter a must-own player during his hot streak at the plate.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
