Reynaldo Lopez Nearing Return, Could Start This Weekend
4 years agoChicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Reynaldo Lopez has been out of the mix since July 27 due to a sore right shoulder. But manager Rick Renteria alluded to Lopez making a return in the near future prior to Friday’s game, with the possibility of his next start coming Saturday against the Cubs. Lopez, who allowed a Major League-high 110 earned runs last year, was shellacked in his first start this season, yielding four runs in just ⅔ of an inning. While he has shown flashes of brilliance, Lopez can be safely avoided from a fantasy perspective until he shows enough consistency to warrant a season-long roster spot.
