James Paxton Shut Down For 14 Days
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (elbow) will not throw for 14 days, according to manager Aaron Boone. Paxton left his start on Thursday early with elbow discomfort, and although he’s avoided Tommy John surgery, his elbow issue is likely to keep him out for most if not all of the rest of this season. The Yankees haven’t decided who will start in Paxton’s place yet, but Jonathan Loaisiga came into the season as the most likely fill-in starter, and Michael King and Nick Nelson are also options.
