4 years agoMinnesota Twins right-handed pitcher Jake Odorizzi has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a chest contusion stemming from a line drive that he took off the chest during his start Friday, which forced him to exit. All three of Odorizzi’s starts this year have come against the Royals, having allowed nine runs (including three homers) in his 10 innings of work. After getting off to a late start in 2020, it appears that Odorizzi will now miss at least his next two starts, putting him in a perilous season-long spot. Minnesota has not yet announced who will take over Odorizzi’s spot in the rotation.--Jesse Borek
