Homer Bailey Moves To 45-Day IL, Return Not On Horizon
4 years agoMinnesota Twins right-handed pitcher Homer Bailey has been shifted to the 45-day injured list due to tendinitis in his right biceps, putting him on the sidelines until at least mid-September. Bailey had been working his way back at the club’s alternate site after having made just one start earlier this year, earning a win in a five-inning effort. With Jake Odorizzi (chest) also hitting the IL, Minnesota will likely go back to using an opener at least once through each turn of the rotation for the time being. With Bailey’s return in 2020 being further clouded, owners can begin to officially look elsewhere and allow him to return to the wire.
