4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a loss to the Angels Saturday. Chapman now has nine homers on the season to go with 21 RBI and 20 runs scored. These strong numbers are no fluke either as Chapman has an elite 92.5 MPH average exit velocity thanks to a barrel-rate that is among the league leaders. If he can cut his 30.2 percent strikeout-rate back towards his 24 percent career mark then Chapman could truly be elite.
