4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays was initially expected back from the injured list as soon as his 10 days were up, but manager Brandon Hyde revealed prior to Tuesday’s game that Hays now has no timetable for a return from his rib fracture. Hays has been unable to replicate his 2019 success this far, having compiled a .519 OPS in his first 19 games this year. Cedric Mullins has taken over as the everyday center fielder and figures to continue seeing a considerable workload while Hays remains sidelined, although neither presents much season-long intrigue at this stage.--Jesse Borek
