Matt Manning Shut Down For Season
4 years agoDetroit Tigers pitching prospect Matt Manning (forearm) has been shut down for the season with a right forearm strain. Manning is one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball and was expected to make his debut this season, but the Tigers are being cautious and rightfully so as there is no reason for him to pick up a baseball until he is 100% as he is a big part of the Tiger’s future. Manning, 22, spent 2019 in Double-A and recorded an 11-5 record to go along with a shiny 2.56 ERA and 144 K’s over 133 2/3 innings in 24 starts. Manning should be owned in dynasty leagues and is a name for owners in redrafts name to remember next year pending his health.
