Kareem Hunt Maintains Fantasy Appeal Despite Role
4 years agoCleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt holds the distinction of entering drafts as the highest-rated back who is not the RB1 on his team. Even as Nick Chubb commands considerable fantasy attention, Hunt showcased the fact that his on-field skills have not diminished after amassing 464 yards from scrimmage in eight games last year. It was as recently as 2017 that Hunt led the league in rushing yards; while that seems incredibly lofty this year, his appeal is twofold -- he boasts considerable receiving skills, as well as immense upside should Chubb fade from the timeshare. There is also a sizable risk that comes with selecting Hunt, especially in the 65-75 selection slot as Cleveland will be under a new offensive coordinator in 2020, which may throw his touch allotment (10 per game in ‘19) into flux.
