ANALYSIS: Believe it or not, Mike Williams won't have Philip Rivers as his quarterback in 2020. With the uber-veteran moving places and now part of the Colts, Williams will play under either Tyrod Taylor or rookie Justin Herbert for the first time in his career. When Williams comes back from injury, that is, as he got his shoulder injured during training camps and could miss a couple of weeks to start the year.

The quarterback change could actually be a great thing for Williams, don't let it fool you, as he has averaged 9.8 yards per target over the past three seasons (sixth-most in the NFL) and both Taylor and Herbert should offer more deep-ball upside than Rivers did over the past few seasons, making 2020 a possible splash year for Williams.

Keenan Allen will remain in his role as the featured receiver in the Chargers passing game, and Hunter Henry and Austin Ekeler will demand targets as well, but Williams has strong WR2 upside. Last season, in 15 games, Williams was already able to finish the year as the WR24 in PPR leagues to the tune of 1,001 yards on 49 receptions for 20.4 yards per catch (!!!). And he only scored two touchdowns, which is absolutely going to positively regress and help him rack more fantasy points in 2020.

Although Williams might not be your weekly leading-WR, he definitely brings a lot of upside to the table with steady booming-play prowess. For someone drafted as the WR49 at the time of this writing, his potential WR2 finish sounds more than appealing and worth drafting at around the 10th round instead of north of the 12th as he's currently getting off boards.
