4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle was excellent in a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Mahle allowed two runs over 6 2/3 innings while striking out 11 and walking two. The young right-hander only allowed two hits, both of which were solo homers, in the win. Mahle has been bounced between the rotation and the bullpen by the Reds this season but he will remain part of the rotation after the team lost left-hander Wade Miley to the injured list with a shoulder issue earlier in the week. Overall, Mahle has a 1-1 record, 3.91 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 23 innings of work. Mahle is worth adding in all leagues going forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
